Grading A Baltimore Ravens Amazing 2024 NFL Draft
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens love April because the NFL Draft rolls around. They usually come away with one of the best drafts every year, and why would that change this season?

Baltimore Ravens Draft Picks

  • 1 (30): CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson
  • 2 (62): T Roger Rosengarten, Washington
  • 3 (93): EDGE Adisa Isaac, Penn State
  • 4 (113): WR Devontez Walker, North Carolina
  • 4 (130): CB TJ Tampa, Iowa State
  • 5 (165): RB Rasheen Ali, Marshall
  • 6 (218): QB Devin Leary, Kentucky
  • 7 (228): C Nick Samac, Michigan State
  • 7 (250): S Sanoussi Kane, Purdue

Nate Wiggins

With the 30th pick in the NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens took Clemson’s cornerback Nate Wiggins, who was hands down one of the best in this year’s draft.

Many big boards had him as the number one corner in the draft or right up there with Alabama’s Terrion Arnold and Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell. According to Pro Football Focus, Wiggins is 6-foot-2, very lengthy, and has an 83.9 coverage grade in 2023.

The Clemson alum will most likely be the number two corner to start the season right behind Marlon Humphrey, who has made himself one of the best corners in the NFL.

The Ravens needed to add depth at the corner position to compete against their AFC North rivals, wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Amari Cooper, and George Pickens.

Roger Rosengarten

Washington’s Roger Rosengarten played 1,935 snaps at right tackle in the last two seasons, had a pass block grade of 80.0 pass in 2023, and can be an elite pass blocker at the NFL level.

Rosengarten stands at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, and should slide in as the day one starting right tackle.

Adisa Isaac

Adisa Isaac, the Penn State edge defender, will fit in the Baltimore Raven’s defense. Baltimore took a Penn State edge defender a few seasons ago in Odafe Oweh, and Isaac is a lot like him. Standing at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, he is already elite against the run, recording an 82.4 run defense grade in 2023.

 TJ Tampa And Devontez Walker

Iowa State’s cornerback TJ Tampa was an absolute steal in the fourth round. On the NFL network’s Daniel Jeremiah’s big board, he was ranked 84th overall, while the Ravens took him at 130.

Even if Tampa doesn’t do anything in the NFL, taking him in the fourth round with a lot of upside is a great steal, and he should be able to see the field in a minor role in 2024.

Devontez Walker had a crazy story this past season. He transferred to North Carolina from Kent State and could not get a waiver from the NCAA to play this season since he transferred in 2020 to Kent State. He didn’t have a free transfer, so he needed to get a waiver when he got to UNC to play in year one. The NCAA denied it at first, but then, after a lot of pushback, he was allowed to play.

Walker looked like a first-round pick at one point of his career, and if the Kent State version shows up in Baltimore, then the Ravens got a steal, but he did suffer from a lot of drops at the Senior Bowl, and if he can work that out, he could be a legit wide receiver three to start.

Baltimore Ravens Draft Grade A-

The Baltimore Ravens knocked this draft out of the park. They got a few guys in Wiggins and Rosengarten, who will most likely start from day one, and found two steals of positional value in Tampa and Walker.

The Baltimore Ravens can pat themselves on their back because they crushed another April again.
