With every game, it’s getting harder and harder to watch Michigan basketball. Sunday wasn’t necessarily rock bottom. That’s been this entire eight-game losing streak but after yet another lopsided loss (to Ohio State this time), Michigan basketball fans and analysts are demanding a change.
If you are on social media at all, there isn’t much debate about what Juwan Howard’s future should be. Former players, fans, analysts — just about everyone sees the need for Michigan AD Warde Manuel to make a change.
Earlier this week, known insider John U. Bacon posted on X that it was “more likely than not” that Juwan Howard would return to the Wolverines for another season as head coach. It wasn’t a popular report among Michigan fans and it’s clear that change is needed.
Michigan has played 30 games. They have won 8 of them. Juwan tried to fight an assistant coach. Our PG doesn't go to class. Every single player has regressed. Every single coach looks asleep on the bench. Everything is fine. #ForCompetitorsOnly

How can you let this continue?

The number of possessions where an Ohio State player grabs a defensive rebound and dribbles directly to the basket is a bit comical in this one.
Evan Mahaffey just did it at half speed past Tray Jackson.

This was a seven point game with 9:30 left.. Michigan just ran out of gas
If only they had a seasoned coach designated to strength and player conditioning

Ohio State fired their coach mid season and are playing the best basketball that they've played in 2 years. Their coach was a literal proven winner in college basketball.
Michigan continues to stay put with Juwan with rumors swirling he'll get one more year.
What a disaster.

If Warde Manuel's decision about Juwan Howard isn't glaringly obvious, Michigan's decision about Warde Manuel should be
Not sure Michigan has had a team this bad — in any sport — in the last 50 years. A poorly constructed, worse-performing team with nothing working right now

CBS just said Michigan will finish last place in the Big Ten for the first time in 57 years.. FIFTY SEVEN.. Lyndon B Johnson was President.. two years removed from Jim Crow

It’s not like Michigan fans are frustrated without reason. The Wolverines have clinched their first last-place finish in the Big Ten in 57 years. They are 8-21 which was after a 3-0 start. That means the Wolverines are 5-21 and even John Beilein’s son is laughing at U-M.
Lmao!

The Wolverines trailed Ohio State by just five points at halftime on Sunday before losing the game 84-61. Ohio State subbed out its starters with around three minutes left following a 20-2 run to ice the win. Michigan basketball players battled and I don’t want to criticize them, but their head coach has done a terrible job of putting them in a position to succeed. It’s hard to watch and if Warde Manuel can’t see that Juwan must go, he’s blind and maybe he should go too.
